Our Wedding Weekend - Part One

After a whirlwind of an engagement, all of the craziness was well worth it when our wedding weekend rolled around.  We headed to North Canton Wednesday evening so that we could start all of the fun!  It was definitely a packing challenge but we were prepared for the long exciting weekend!
Pretty full Pathfinder...now Jason, do you have room for my BIG suitcase and what about my Vera?
...and all of this stuff too?

It was a rainy and chilly day but we persevered through it and did many wedding prep to-do's.  Jason helped my dad set up the tent for the Family Cookout on Thursday.

My dad and Jason setting up the tent in the rain - thank goodness for them!

Thursday evening the Piero Family hosted those guests that were already in town with a Family Cookout.  A fun relaxing evening prior to the whirlwind that was ahead of us!

Jason and the men started the morning off with a round of golf at the Quarry.  After the rainy Thursday, Friday turned out to be well worth the wait!  They had a great round full of competition, good laughs, and practical jokes (of course)!  After the round, they enjoyed a few good beers in the clubhouse and were then off to get ready for the big night!

Liana and the ladies started the day with champagne and mani's and pedi's - bridal pampering!  They then headed to lunch at Gervasi on the patio!

Before we all knew it (and no time for naps...) it was time to start getting dressed for the wedding rehearsal at St. Paul's.  After the rehearsal we headed to 91 Wood Fired Grill for a delicious dinner.  Once the speeches, dinner, thank you's, and gifts were complete it was time to teach the new family and friends the 'official' wedding dance, "Hey, hey baby..." (the boys were more than thrilled).  After the lesson we started what seemed to be the pre-wedding photo shoot.

The Bridesmaids
After rehearsal dinner Liana took some time to give Jason part of her wedding gift to him...a custom orange vest and bow tie that was made just for him.  In the vest I put a copy of our vows and a piece of Jason's Grandpa (a small portion of one of his ties and sweater) so that Jason knew his Grandpa was right there with him at our wedding.  It was truly a special moment...

A special bow tie for a special guy and and even more special vest to hold close to his heart.

As we said our goodbyes and kissed goodnight, we knew that when we woke up on Saturday we would become husband and wife!

  1. Awwwww...so special. Lots of good memories. I love the picture of us talking, Jason, and the one of Jeff with Don and Luke.
Liana, if I haven't already said it,it was so dear of you to make the special vest with Grandpa reminders in it. Theirs was a special relationship and to have Grandpa "there" on your wedding day meant a great deal to me as I know it did to Jason.
